Introduction:

The exercises below span a wide range of themes within English grammar and usage. While some topics are more specific (e.g. American vs. British English) others are more general and include a mixture of topics. These exercises do not focus on any particular theme and some of the exercises are indeed taken from previous exam questions.

Aims:

One of the aims of these exercises to make you familiar with topics not dealt with under the other headings. This ensures that no theme needs to be left out. Another aim is to present you with exercises that contain a variety of topics, keeping you on your toes. You no longer know what to look for. These exercises (Mix) provide a more authentic distribution of problems that you may encounter when you speak or write English.
